New Compact pledges increased involvement for clients
Carr-Gomm has published a new Client Involvement Compact - an agreement between staff and clients explaining the rights of clients to be involved in decision-making, and the support they will receive to do this.
It aims to ensure that every client who has an opinion about something in Carr-Gomm can share it with the organisation in the way that suits them best.
In the Compact, Carr-Gomm makes four key pledges. These revolve around:
- Involvement: Increasing opportunities for involvement, ensuring these are easily accessible and tailored to clients needs
- Understanding: ensuring all staff fully understand the importance of client involvement and delivering training to clients that will be of use during and after their time with Carr-Gomm
- Communication: ensuring clients get all the information they need in the way that suits them best
- Community: enabling clients to get involved in the wider community
