Carr-Gomm – transforming care and support

Staff benefits

We aim to provide an inclusive workplace, which respects and values the diversity of our staff. Where possible we promote flexible working arrangements which take account of people’s needs and the balance between work and home life, through for example, job sharing, carer’s leave and career breaks.

Carr-Gomm offers a generous employment package to all of its employees. Further information is given when requesting an application form.

Hours

Support staff are generally required to work within the hours of 8:00am and 8:00pm and may include Saturday and Sunday working, depending on the needs of the project. Other staff will usually work between the hours of 9:00am to 5:00pm. (Working hours may be adapted to meet cultural or religious needs, such as prayer times.)

Holidays

We offer 25 days per annum plus Public Holidays, rising to a maximum of 30 days depending on length of service. Sympathetic consideration can be given to requests for unpaid leave or the exchange of public holidays for other religious festivals, such as Eid or Rosh Hashana.

Pension Scheme

Carr-Gomm has an excellent contributory Staff Pension Scheme - the Social Housing Pension Scheme - which is administered by The Pensions Trust.

Maternity and Paternity Leave

Generous maternity, parental and adoption leave entitlements are in place, including extended maternity leave and benefits (available after a qualifying period).

Training and Development

Carr-Gomm values its employees and invests in staff development. We offer a wide range of in-house training opportunities in specialist subjects relevant to Carr-Gomm’s work. We also provide induction, team and management training courses. External courses are also considered for further development if required.

Employees receive regular review sessions with managers, and performance appraisals. There are also good opportunities for career progression within the organisation and we are currently expanding potential for career development through mentoring, secondment etc.
